I found out about Always Hired through an online search and was intrigued. Are people really always hired? I put my info into AH’s bot on a Wednesday, Gabe called me on Thursday, and I inquired about how to start. He said you don’t start. You have to take part in a rigorous application process. And the first LA boot camp starts in a week. So I filled out the application, and sent my recorded 30-second pitch over the weekend. By Monday, I was offered an interview. I interviewed Tuesday. On the following Monday, I joined Always Hired’s inaugural LA cohort. Over the course of four weeks, we learned everything from the tech and venture capital funding industries, interview training, all the way to tech sales funnels. From there we took a deeper dive into the sales process from scripting to how to manage your daily schedule with your top priorities in mind -- dials and booking meetings. We did role plays almost daily with everyone, including Gabe. We were machines. We studied the companies we’d interview with, learned how to research those companies and the interviewers so that we’d be prepared. We were quizzed on tech industry and funding terms, the sales funnel, sales scripting, CRM usage, and so many others. It was truly a boot camp! The one-on-one coaching I received from Gabe Moncayo was the best part. I got to pick his brain, find out what’s going on in the mind of a tech sales interviewer, the expectations, and what habits I need to develop now to ensure I’ll be successful in my new role. I’ve got a chance to interview with one of the high growth startups in Silicon Beach and without further due I received an offer letter. I just finished my first week as a Sales Development Representative at Service Titan and I could not be happier! Thank you to Gabe, John, and the rest of the Always Hired team! If you want to change your career and get into the tech industry without a doubt, Always Hired is your best route! Mention my name before you sign up and we will both get $100 when you get your new job!
