I wanted to break into tech sales but wasn’t exactly sure how. One day while driving Lyft in San Francisco, Gabe Moncayo — CEO of Always Hired tech sales bootcamp — happened to be one of my passengers. At the end of our ride, he referred me to the program. Boom! An opportunity to pivot into tech sales. What would you do if you were hungry for a challenge and a solid education? Well, I signed up.
Fast forward: by the end of class (week 3 of 3), there was no doubt I got my money’s worth. We learned how to handle objections, write cold-call scripts and elevator pitches, and use tools like Salesforce and others geared towards email sequencing. Not to mention I met some inspiring people to bounce ideas off of. Rad, right?!
Under close mentorship and guidance from Gabe and other leaders at Always Hired, I completed over 40 interviews in three weeks resulting in four offers and a choice of which company I would grow my new career with. Could you imagine yourself in this position?!
Gabe said it appropriately, “Isn’t it amazing that you came into this program willing to take any job, and now you’re coming out of it in a position to choose which one is best for you?”. Damn, that’s powerful.
Goodbye Lyft and hello new career in tech! Thank you Always Hired for being a springboard into the world of tech sales.
