Did you know Sapporo is also one of the best ski spots around Tokyo Japan and Asia in general? I sure didn't. I'm happy that our intern was able to teach us a little about Japanese culture. A wrap-up of his internship follows. It's hard to believe that it's already been a month. Four weeks ago we welcomed a Hitachi employee from Tokyo Japan to join our team for a month. He was part of an initiative by Hitachi to bring employees to America and give them a new and different professional experience. We are extremely happy we decided to bring Seiya Ito onboard for the past month. Not only did he make valuable contributions to the company, we were also able to learn a little about Japanese culture. Now, after a month, Seiya returns to Tokyo Japan to resume his work as a Cloud Engineer for Hitachi. Thank you to Seiya for his hard work over the past month. The projects he completed will help with the strategy for our company moving forward. Here are a few questions I asked Seiya about his experience in America: Q:What was your favorite project that you worked on? A:Researching marketing strategies for other tech companies. I was surprised at all of the unique case studies that I came across. This project let me know how important marketing strategy is for tech companies. Q: Compare the American and Japanese work environments. A: American business speed is extremely fast, especially Always Hired Sales Bootcamp members. They also have a strong sense of responsibility and passion for what they do. Q:Do you feel like you accomplished your goals? A:Yes. This internship gave me confidence to work on global stage. Q: What was your favorite experience outside of work? A: The Golden State Warriors game was super exciting in Oracle Arena. I'm happy to support them as a basketball fan. I also enjoyed traveling around San Francisco and Napa Valley. Q: What did you miss most about your hometown (Tokyo Japan)? A: Japanese Ramen. Too expensive for me to eat ramen in San Francisco. -- We truly hope that Seiya enjoyed his time with our company and in America in general. It was a mutual learning experience and both sides came away better and more in touch with our counter parts in the Pacific. We wish Seiya the best in his career and beyond!
